La Mère Lachaise 20th district78 boulevard de Ménilmontant
75020 Paris
I keep on testing Paris brunches. : this sunday, La Mère Lachaise (word game : female version of the Père Lachaise, the cemetery). No choice, only one brunch. A large plate with the whole meal on it (a bit like at Le Comptoir de Paris Marrakech, but French version) : scambled eggs, coleslaw, bacon, salad : your regular brunch, plus a baked potato with cream (mmmh!) and a kind of grilled sandwich with chicken and mayo, unexpected but good and original! Served with a coffee (very good) and an orange juice (basic industrial one) for 17,60 per person, dessert included (the crumble is very good). Decoration is correct, like a crossover between a bistro and a loft. A place a bit out of the standard paths, but not unforgettable.
