LE KOKOLION
62, rue d’Orsel
75018 PARIS
TEL : 01 42 58 24 41

Métro : Anvers (ligne 2) et Abesses (ligne 12)

Here is a restaurant where they cook good food. This place is not very big (about 20 seats) but this fact make it friendly. The boss received us with a smile (in spite of our delay) and installed us in the room with the theatre advertisment. The decoration with strong red connotation reminds me the french boudoirs. The menu was 24.90 € (entrance and main dish, or main dish and dessert) it is accessible and the card changes regularly. Plates are generous. I took Gratin of dab and a crumble with walnuts and cinnamon ice. I still remember it.

One advice : reservation needed.

They serve untill 00h30 !!!!

Hôtel Eiffel Capitol

You will find L'Alisier in the street Rodier, a very nice restaurant. Inside it looks zen (cream and black colours) and welcoming. This restaurant is kept by Stephane and Bertrand. This evening, Bertrand was in rooma and Stephane was in kitchen ! Bertrand was charming, recommending us for dishes : Gamgas cooked in Mexicain way, a culinary delight ! and for dessert a waffle with som Chantilly cream (ups my diet !!!!). They serve generously (specially in Chantilly cream) and Bertrand made me laugh a lot. I had a very good time and if you search for a reasonable and convivial restaurant, YOU FOUND IT !

Le Maroc
9 rue Danielle Casanova
75001 Paris

Subway Pyramides (lines 7, 14) or Opéra (line 3, 7, 8 and RER A)

The restaurant has easy access, located in Opera quarter.
From Opera, take la Paix Street, and D.Casanova Street is the first on the left before Vendôme place.

The decoration of wood and mosaiques is as inside a luxurious riad.
Menus consists of earthen ware cooking pots (meat stews), bricks and couscous.
Real Royal couscous, the semolina is the finest, the meat is soft and tender. Vegetables were carefully steamed.
It was difficult to finish even with the Siberian cold outside.

+ Service is by a pedestrial table.
Stuffed dates friendly offered for the digestion

Crêpes La belle ronde
19 rue Daguerre,
75014 Paris

Metro Denfert Rochereau (lines 4, 6 and RER B)

This restaurant restaurant is located in a backyard of Daguerre Street. It opens everyday from noon to 23h00 : an interior space decorated like a modern kitchen with white and flashy colours, and a exterior space with trees and tables to make the most of sunny days.
There is a menu for 10 € during week days and a la carte on weekend and bank hollidays. I ate a crepe sarrasin (buckwheat flour) the "Lolita" with white asparagus, ham, émmental cheese, nuts for 7,90 € + a sweet crepe the "coquelicot" with strawberries, honey and lemon for 6,60 €. Bottle of cider is 8,00 €.
Very quick service like in a fast-food. Good address for little hungries bored of eating hamburgers.
A bientot!

Le plomb du Cantal
3 rue de la Gaîté
75014 Paris

Subway Gaîté (line 13) or Montparnasse (line 4, 12, 13).

The restaurant is located in Montparnasse quarter, in Gaîté street, famous for theatres and others japaneese restaurants.

This traditional french-auvergnat restaurant is specially recommended when weather is very cold: Red meat and "truffade" to the menu.

I took the rib steak of 500 gr., accompanied with a truffade(browned potatoes, white bacon fried, Cantal cheese spread)

+ A real meat is from "french terroir".
Waiters helpful and efficient.
- Long waiting and noisy.
