PIZZERIA I DOGI
16 rue Xavier Privas
75005 PARIS
Tel: 01 56 24 11 25
Metro: Saint-Michel (line 4)

Small nice stopping place in the Latin Quartejavascript:void(0)r near Notre-Dame. In this pizzeria where you can taste pizzas cooked in a woodfired oven, we decided to taste a roasted chicken with chips ( 10 euros) and a plate of pasta and its 2 salmons (13 euros). Dishes were copious but I found the smoked salmon too salty. The atmosphere area, the service and the welcome were quite good in this tourist district. I recommend the room situated in the 1st the floor.

RESTAURANT ESMERALDA :
2, rue du Cloître de Notre Dame
75004 Paris
Metro: Cité (ligne 4)
Tel: 01 43 54 17 72

To warm my self at the exit of the Cathedral Notre Dame, I went to taste a “sugar crêpe” (very good) with an excellent hot chocolate. The decoration and the area are pleasant; the service is fast with a nice welcome. My only negative remark will be at the level of toilet (to avoid rather).

Paris Restaurant Delmas

Delmas
2, Place de la contrescarpe
75005 Paris
Tél: 01.43.26.51.26

With it glass front, you can discover the small room coffee-crêperie Delmas from the Rue Mouffetard. Without knowing the address previously I was attracted by the decor, soft lighting, armchair, wooden table. I ate buckwheat crepe with salmon and cream, then a sweet crepe with chocolate and coconut, and drank two bowls of cider for 22.80 euros. The young waitress did the balance, her kindness weighed in front of the thin buckwheat crepe that had the name but not the taste. Review: not as good as I thought.

La Croissanterie
168 Bd St Germain
75006

Please don't take this review for all restaurants of the same chain. We can never know as each restaurant is managed by a different person.
But the Croissanterie of Boulevard Saint Germain is a place you should avoid.
At the first look you have a restaurant with old but not too bad decoration. But food is expensive for what they sell. I paid 4.20 for a Minutemaid and a lemon meringue pie (Tarte au Citron). I really love la lemon meringue pie, and most of the times I go to the bakery I choose them even if they are more expensive than other pastries. But this one wasn't good at all. I couldn't finish it.
Then I tried the toilets. There was only one place for ladies and gentlemen also it was dirty, water on the floor and all around the sink.
I am sure that you will find better places around. There is one bakery on Jacob street near St Germain church, you can take there your French pastries and eat them at Square Laurent Prache. At same street La Durée is may be more expensive but much best.

Restaurant in Paris Polidor

Polidor
41, rue Monsieur Le Prince
75006 Paris
Métro : Odéon (ligne 4 et 10), RER B Luxembourg
Tél : 01-43-26-95-34
lepolidor@aol.com

Restaurant open for over a century with vocation to become a canteen. The prices are very reasonable. It’s good, it's like at home. I took the menu at 22 euros : As starter tomatoes mozzarella bufalla. Then the beef tongue and mash potatoes housemaid and for dessert a very vanilla-tasty vanilla ice. For drink I had sparkling water at 3 euros.
There are the specialties of the house written in marker on white Venetian mirrors, wooden furniture, and water glasses that bring us back to childhood when we used to ask our friend "how old are you?" and read the answer at the bottom of the glass. The answer is still there.
In addition staff proves to be careful.

Restaurant Paris 5 LE PRE VERRE

LE PRE VERRE 5ème
8 RUE THENARD
75005 PARIS
TEL : 01 43 54 59 47
Métro : Cluny la Sorbonne, Maubert-Mutualité (line 10)

Next to The museum of Medium Age, we ate in a sensational restaurant: Le Pré Verre. Nicely decorated, the restaurant has 2 rooms among which one is downstairs where we had lunch because the room of the top was already full.
With a 28.50 € entrée-plat-dessert menu, we really enjoyed. Very fine, abounding, original, tasty, it is really an address to be kept and a restaurant to be discovered. Reservation recommended.

Restaurant in Paris 06

LE POSITANO
15 RUE DES CANETTES
75006 PARIS
TEL : 01 43 26 01 62
Metro : Mabillon (line 10) ou Saint Sulpice (line4

Researching a nice restaurant at rue des Canettes, we found the pizzeria LE POSITANO. Small restaurant of about twenty places, space between tables is not so big but at least we are warm! The bosses, who look after the service, are very nice and warm-hearted and find us a table fast. I took pasta and one Pana cotta. There’s nothing to say against. It was very good and abounding.
But if you really want to go there, it is necessary to reserve because it was overcrowded.

LE PUB SAINT GERMAIN
17 rue de l'ancienne comédie
75006 Paris
01.56.81.13.13

This pub opened for ages and provides continuous service 365 days a year. The framework is rather dark colour with red candles on the tables. The service is class and refined. A DJ takes care of the music.
But the glass of Bordeaux at 7.50 euros and the Caesar salad at 15 euros which is a simple bowl of salad with some frozen chicken slices lyophilized lead me to the obvious : Prices are really too high in this place!

La crêperie des Canettes

La crêperie des Canettes
10 rue des Canettes
75006 Paris
Tel :0143262765
Metro : Saint Germain des Près (line 4) Mabillo (line 10)
Opened from Monday to Saturday

In an atmosphere of the seaside and the holidays, you will sample in the choice of pancakes of buckwheat or wheat the whole sprayed naturally with cider.
As I prefer buckwheat creps, I suggest you " la Tribord " (ham, cheese and apples) which is 7 € otherwise you can take "la complète" which will fill your appetite.
The prices vary from 5 to 9 € depending on the dishes.
The establishment serves naturally also buckwheat or wheat crepes for dessert.
The bottle of dry or soft cider is sold 9 €.

Le puits de légumes 5ème
Restaurant végétarien et bio
18, rue du Cardinal Lemoine
75005 Paris
Tél: 01.43.25.50.95
Lundi au samedi 12h à 22h

Since 1O years now Nadya work in the Latin quarter and since september 2008 she welcome you in her small restaurant of 36 seats, as well there is a take away service. The “garden” atmosphere is in the decoration and in my plate. I choose from the day's menu the “Ragout de tempeh et tajine” (varied vegetables and rice) for 13 euros, a hearty meal + fresh lemon juice at 3.50 euros. I discover the Gomasio, bio salted sesame seeds (here everything is fresh and bio), revealed fabulous ingredient! Full vitamins is done!

Le Vin qui Danse !
4, rue des Fossés Saint-Jacques
75005 Paris
01 43 54 80 81
http://wwwvqd.fr/

It does no harm just this once, I venture into the 5th area of our dear Paris and surprise, near the Pantheon, nested on rue des Fossés Saint Jacques, a restaurant à vin makes me of the eye or rather the nose because to savour their wine it is necessary to have a good smell. This pretty restaurant offers you a pared-down card (5/6 entries, dishes, desserts ) accompanied with a so long wine list that we finally opted for advice of the waitress. It was delicious. I ate a mellow of lamb and its polenta in olives and for dessert one pana cotta of coco milk. The staff is very nice. If you go for a walk near the garden of Luxembourg or the Pantheon, do not forget this small restaurant.
