ESPRITS DE MONTMARTRE
Place Jean Marais

75018 Paris
Info & reservation: 01 48 59 92 97 (only on weekends)

I recommend you this guided tour of Montmartre.
You measure the streets of Montmartre with an extraordinary guide who is also very good comedian. For this visit, it is better to put good shoes because the visit lasts approximately 2 hours. You learn the small as the big stories of Montmartre. Along the visit, comedians appear to tell us stories of olden times. At the end of the visit you are absorbed with Montmartre and all the participants to the visit groups together behind the Sacred Heart Basilica to sing a hurdy-gurdy French song. We are all transported timeless and with the enjoyment and happiness to have crossed Montmartre such as it was in the time of the painters.

FUXIA
42 place du marché Saint Honoré
75001 PARIS
Tel : 01 42 61 45 46
Metro: Pyramides lines 7 & 14

The summer is finally in the air, terraces flourish on the streets of Paris and notably on this place where numerous restaurants mix. So good to dinner outside on a place where cars are quasi nonexisten, what is rather rare in Paris!!! The restaurant FUXIA is an excellent Italian restaurant with other things on the card than pasta and pizzas. This changes!!!! For my part, I took antipasti Fuxia (vegetables were grilled and marinaded in the olive oil accompanied with Italian charcuterie). So delicious. For dessert, an icecream with limoncello Do not forget the delightful effervescent red wine: the lambrusco. Ideal to start the week end.

Le bar a huîtres
33 Boulevard de Beaumarchais
75003 Paris
Metro : Bastille (lines 1, 5 & 8) Chemin Vert (line 8)

The restaurant is located just two steps from Place de la Bastille. I ate the seafood platter for 32.00 euros. It was certainly a lucky day, shrimps, mussels, crab and other shellfish were all very fresh. At this time of the year it’s quite exceptional. For Sunday night ther were many people, fortunately we had booked the table. The service was long so they offered us a coffee.

Paris Restaurant Delmas

Delmas
2, Place de la contrescarpe
75005 Paris
Tél: 01.43.26.51.26

With it glass front, you can discover the small room coffee-crêperie Delmas from the Rue Mouffetard. Without knowing the address previously I was attracted by the decor, soft lighting, armchair, wooden table. I ate buckwheat crepe with salmon and cream, then a sweet crepe with chocolate and coconut, and drank two bowls of cider for 22.80 euros. The young waitress did the balance, her kindness weighed in front of the thin buckwheat crepe that had the name but not the taste. Review: not as good as I thought.

La Croissanterie
168 Bd St Germain
75006

Please don't take this review for all restaurants of the same chain. We can never know as each restaurant is managed by a different person.
But the Croissanterie of Boulevard Saint Germain is a place you should avoid.
At the first look you have a restaurant with old but not too bad decoration. But food is expensive for what they sell. I paid 4.20 for a Minutemaid and a lemon meringue pie (Tarte au Citron). I really love la lemon meringue pie, and most of the times I go to the bakery I choose them even if they are more expensive than other pastries. But this one wasn't good at all. I couldn't finish it.
Then I tried the toilets. There was only one place for ladies and gentlemen also it was dirty, water on the floor and all around the sink.
I am sure that you will find better places around. There is one bakery on Jacob street near St Germain church, you can take there your French pastries and eat them at Square Laurent Prache. At same street La Durée is may be more expensive but much best.

Restaurant L atelier Moliere in Paris

L’Atelier Molière
34, rue Richelieu
75001 PARIS
Metro: Palais Royal (ligne 1)
Tel 01 42 60 59 66

Located near the Comédie Française, this small restaurant is very good. Nicely decorated, the staff is really blameless and nice. The kitchen is as generous as delightful with its Mediterranean tastes. On top of that, there are even toasts of anchoïade and confites tomatoes in the garlic accompanying drink.
All that I like.

We saw a small document on TV about Albert Khan and his works for photography. So we decided to go there just after lunch. We took the good decision as when going out there was a long waiting line.
The exhibition seems interesting but everything is in French. We did not look the permanent exhibition so we can not even say if there is one. We preferred to go to the gardens. It is really nice landscape (with examples of gardens from the world). We loved the Japanese garden.
We did not have time to visit all the gardens but we will go back there it only cost 1.5€!
I really thing that the gardens are good idea for a ballad if you have some extra time free!!

BAR A THYM
2 RUE RAMEY
75018 PARIS
01 42 54 61 31
Metro : Chateau Rouge (line 4)

This nice restaurant located in XVIIIth aera is really worth it. Not very big but enough to receive music groups Fridays or Saturdays evenings, we can therefore have dinner and listen to concerts live all at once.
The salad manner Bo Bun was really delightful and very abounding. I discovered Mongolian music all at once since 3 musicians-singers have played it this evening there. Magical instant and amazing discovery.
